American Solar Solution's Sale Consultants strive to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with homeowners. We take a consultative approach to educating homeowners on all solar options they have. As a Sales Representative you are expected to identify and actively pursue leads, answer customer's questions and concerns, and meet quotas of solar systems and energy efficiency services. As a Sales Consultant, you will serve as a primary representative of American Solar Solution and are expected to convey a sense of expertise in all of the services offered. This position requires tact, confidence, and exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Sales of residential and commercial solar systems and installation services.
  • Closing deals and signing contracts at customer's homes.
  • Qualifying leads and prospects
  • Utilizing online tools and conducting preliminary site evaluations to develop an initial solar system design.
  • Generating project proposals/quotes
  • Analysis of customer's current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment.
  • Explain and review contract agreements with customers.
  • Communicating with project and design team throughout job completion.
  • Logging all communications with customers

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of successful in-home sales experience.
  • Experience with solar installation, design, or sales preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships.
  • Strong ability to project monthly sales numbers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Basic Excel a must.
  • Desire to stay on the leading edge of the solar industry.
  • World class communication and customer service skills and experience.
  • Four year college degree preferred.
  • Clean DMV driving record in the last 5 years.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PV Designer

As a PV Designer you are responsible for designing code-compliant solar photovoltaic systems for American Solar Solution clients.  This position relies on structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts and calculations, with a focus on efficiency and automation.  We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate that can manage a large volume of projects efficiently.
 
Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD 2D software and custom software tools to design photovoltaic ground mount and roof top systems.
  • Work with project managers to submit plans and drawings to building departments.
  • Track permitting process until approval is given
  • Work with sales, project management and installation teams to ensure clients' needs and internal deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and/or directed.


Education and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of intense AutoCAD experience is absolutely necessary.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical design and beam theory.
  • BS in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering, or other related discipline from a top-tier college or university.
  • Knowledge of electrical design theory and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
  • Must have a clean driving record for last 5 years
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction preferred
  • PV Industry certifications highly preferred

Canvasser

Due to growth, American Solar Solution is currently seeking a Canvasser to join our team.


Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Field Market Supervisor and fellow Scouts and Canvassers.
  • Learn Solar training and a pitch to explain how systems work to clients.
  • Provides nightly report of leads/appointments
  • Attends training sessions to keep up with market expansion
  • Maintain relationship with Confirmation Team.
  • Work with Field Trainers to ensure high quality standards are met.
  • Maintain communication with Canvass Management Team.
  • Complete all paperwork relating to operations and email correspondence promptly.
  • Abides by the Canvasser Policy Booklet Rules and Regulations.
  • Provides the necessary reporting to Field Program Manager and Canvass Confirmation Team.
  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and schedules in an efficient productive manner
  • Lives up to verbal and written agreements
  • Able to structure and process data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions; anticipates and copes effectively with the complexity of change

Education and Experience

  • 1 – 2 years of experience d2d or b2b.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Team leader position at outside sales organizations.
  • Kiosk or Retail experience.
  • Previous experience setting appointments with prospective homeowners.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas.
  • Working in an unsupervised position.
  • Ability to grasp concept selling techniques.
  • Willingness to travel [up to 35%]
